ID_Entity is a performance for augmented guitar and electronics that emerges from the artist’s research on enhancing instrumental expressivity. The work portrays an interactive sonic landscape at the intersection of tonal instrumental performance and algorithmic sampling and sound generation. This performance explores the coexistence of these two styles and the development of new, personal compositional processes.
The system enables both direct, proactive interaction with sound through the use of electronic sensors, and reactive interaction through the analysis and sampling of the instrumental signal. It results in an eclectic performance in which all sonic material is generated and processed in real time.
